Tea demonstrations Japanese Garden
Tea demonstrations
- All our workshops will be given in Dutch.
You have to experience it at least once in your life: the wondrous Japanese tea ceremony, a ritual that combines art and tradition. Every month, the Japanese Garden hosts one of those demonstrations. Our tea-master Staf Daems will explain the principles of tea ceremony and will then perform a ceremony in the style of his tea school ‘Urasenke’, one of the three major tea schools in Japan. At the end, you can enjoy a cup of matcha-tea yourself.
More information is available on the website of the tea-master.
