Japanese dog weekend

Japanse Tuin Hond Wandelen Shiba Hasselt

On Saturday April 6th and Sunday April 7th all Japanese dogs, and their owners, are once again welcome to come and visit the Japanese Garden. But also for those just looking to learn more about Japanese dogs or enjoy being around them, there is plenty to do this weekend.

Japanese dogs are popular throughout the world. Which is not surprising, considering they are some of the kindest and most loyal dog breeds. Taking your dog for a walk around the beautiful park alongside other Japanese dogs is a great way to spoil them, and yourself, with a day out.

Both days between 10 am and 5 pm the park is open to all to walk around freely, as well as attend readings and workshops about a range of topics like grooming, diet and dogs in Japan. Photographers will be at the park as well, allowing you to purchase a professional photograph of your faithful companion. On Saturday evening (registration required) between 6 pm and 10 pm the park will be open for a Japanese buffet and an evening showing of the film Hachiko, about the famous Japanese Akita.

Only Japanese dog breeds are allowed to enter the park during this weekend. Dogs enter free, but owners will need to purchase a ticket. Prior registration and payment is required to take part in some of the workshops, the photoshoots and the evening activities, and can be done at www.inucrew.be.
