Workshop Ikebana

Workshop Ikebana

All workshops will be given in Dutch.

Come discover the special world of Japanese flower art at the Japanese Garden. If we translate the word 'ikebana' you get 'living flower'. This Japanese art form focuses on the composition of the work and not on flowers themselves. This allows other materials and plants to be used when creating a flower arrangement. It is an art form that has been around for almost 1,000 years and therefore has several movements/schools. Through this workshop, you can already get to know it and give free rein to your creativity!

Practical:

  • A workshop from 10h30 to 12h30 or one from 14h00 to 16h00.  After or before the workshop you are of course free to spend the rest of the day in the Garden.
  • There are 6 places available per session, minimum age 9 years.
  • Duration: 2 hours.
  • Vase, scissors and accessories will be borrowed from the garden.  Flowers can be taken home so it is best to bring a small plastic bag or something.
  • Mouth masks are required when entering the room and during the workshop.

Cost

  • € 14.00 + entry ticket to be bought separately at the box office
  • € 2.80 for UiTPAS holders with entitlement to the chance ticket + entry ticket to be purchased separately at the box office
