Modemuseum Hasselt

Fashion Museum

Who says Hasselt, says taste: a love of food and drink, but also an excellent taste in clothes. With an extensive collection of garments and accessories, Modemuseum Hasselt tells you all kinds of stories about the history of western fashion from 1750 to today. Don't expect a permanent presentation, but two high-profile exhibitions a year that draw from its own collection or are complemented by meaningful loans from home and abroad. The expos cut across social themes and offer new perspectives on clothing, yourself and the world. Discover both historical gems by anonymous makers, and iconic pieces by resounding names such as Paul Poiret, Elsa Schiaparelli, Christian Dior and Yves Saint Laurent. Belgian designers with Limburg roots and international appeal such as Martin Margiela and Raf Simons also get special attention. Going out with children? Thanks to an active trail and educational activities, the museum connects fashion with your family.
